It’s been some time since I’ve written anything on this page, and for that – I’m sorry. I got caught up on what we like to call life. Needless to say. I’m back. Just got done doing some soul searching and found that I didn’t have to go far. It truly amazes me still that with all the looking for something greater than myself, all I had to do is just stop and turn around and God was there. I can’t explain it any other way than that.

I had a friend many years ago that stated she found her higher power after much searching due to being an atheist. She stated that she found her concept when she had a desire to use. Being at that crossroad of wanting to drink and knowing that it would cost her much once again.

Her idea can from that moment where we take that ‘pause’. That moment of fight or flight. That for her, God was in that ‘pause’. She has never looked again and stayed sober and clean for many years. I visit her once in a while now, not by her side sitting on a wicker chair. But by placing flowers upon her site and taking a moment to ‘pause and to say thanks for the lessons and the many laughs.

These are the lessons I continue to learn today. Take it one moment at a time and enjoy the journey and for what’s it worth, don’t forget to take a ‘pause’ every so often too.

My Spirituality is not the same as yesterday or the day before. It’s not the same a week ago or even five to ten years ago. Is constantly changing; it constantly changing due to the fact that I am not the same.
