Prep Time: 30mins
Bake time: 35mins
Servings Size: 10 -12

Ingredients:
Four 4oz canning jars
2 pie crusts
2 apples
1tbsp. lemon juice
1/2tsp. cinnamon
Dash of nutmeg
2tbsp. flour
1tdsp of butter, (cut into pieces.)
Colored ribbon, (two 12in pieces.)

Instructions:
Preheat oven @ 375. Peel apples and slice into small pieces. Combine ingredients into bowl with apples, then mix thoroughly then set aside. Use lid of canning jar to cut out a circle of pie crust then use the remaining crust inside the canning jar bottom and wall, press firmly. Fill with apple mixture and placing pie crust circle on top and then make small vent holes on top. (Do not place canning jar lip over pie crust before baking.) Place canning jars into baking dish adding just a little water, about a 4th into the baking dish to prevent the jars from cracking while baking. Bake for 30-35mins, once baked set aside to cool. Now go and clean up your mess, once your area is cleaned go check on your jars. Once cooled, take lid of canning jar and place on the bottom. Use colored ribbon and tie from bottom to top making a (X) at the bottom and tying into a bow on top, cut off extra ribbon if needed. (Do not tie to tight for the crust will break.) Depending on the time and Holiday, use seasonal ribbons to make it special. Now find someone special and who likes apples to give them to. Enjoy…
